About Vinyasa KramaVinyasa Krama is the the art and science of combining the elements of Yoga in a sequence that makes an effective and safe practice. Vinyasa means art. In Vinyasa Krama the body, breath and mind are integrated to attain a unified state of harmony and attention. Vinyasa also means variation. Vinyasa Krama uses numerous variations of each posture to fully explore the possibilities of the body and attain the classical goals of Yoga, steadiness and comfort. Krama means order or method. In Vinyasa Krama, postures are organised in a logical sequence. Each variation is linked to the next with transitional movements, the whole practice synchronised with deep ujjayi breathing. Each posture can be gradually accessed through the easier vinyasas and then slowly mastered by moving through all the variations. In this way the body is taken to health and freedom in a gentle process, without force or strain. In the process the breath and mind also undergo a transformation (read more @ Harmony Yoga)

Trinayan Collaborations is a 501-C (3) not-for-profit, New York City based dance organization dedicated to evocative explorations of Odissi dance (one of eight classical Indian dance forms). Our workshops are designed to cultivate the growth and artistic expansion of the solo dancer who is committed to crafting her/his art through self- discipline, independent/group study and professional development workshops with Trinayan Master Artists. Our workshops utilize a holistic approach to dance training and aim to provide insights into the world of Odissi dance: technique, theory, related philosophy and health/well-being arts. Our ultimate goal is to encourage dancers to find their true voice of artistic expression in the ever evolving world of Odissi Dance.
