![]() Ambika Patni Ambika Patni studied Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi with Neena Gulati in Boston for over twelve years. After presenting her arangetram in 1997, Ambika focused on Odissi and spent a summer under the tutelage of Anandi Ramchandran, a disciple of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, in Bombay. While an undergraduate at Harvard, Ambika danced with the Harvard South Asian Dance Organization and choreographed several fusion and jugalbandhi pieces for cultural events. She has performed at MIT, Harvard University, Wellesley College, Berklee School of Music, Boston City Hall, and at other prestigious institutions in Boston. Ambika also performed in the first-ever International Odissi Festival in Washington D.C. in 2001. Ambika particularly enjoys the abhinaya aspect of Odissi and is interested in new ways of fusing traditional Indian dance with modern music and movement. She currently works in finance and travels to India often. .." |
